Lumixell Proton bike light set: white front light and red rear light in their pocket charging case, with iF Design Award 2025 and Taipei Cycle d&i Awards 2024 Gold badges

Proton Bike Light Set with Pocket Charging Case

Proton is a front and rear bike light set that recharges in a pocket-size case, like wireless earbuds, so your lights are always topped up and come off the bike in one twist when you park. Made for city commuters, e-scooter riders, and runners or walkers who want to be seen in low light without carrying cables.

Why Proton

Charges in its case, like earbuds.
Drop both lights into the pocket-size case after a ride. Magnets line them up with the charging contacts and they start charging straight away. You can also charge each light directly by USB-C.

On and off in one twist.
The magnetic self-locking mount snaps on and twists off in seconds, with no tools. Leave the straps on the bike and take the lights with you when you park.

Seen from front and back, day or night.
Five modes on each light, including a Daytime Running flash that peaks at 300 lumens on the front and 75 lumens on the rear, designed to catch drivers' attention from far away.

Up to 20 hours per charge.
Eco mode runs up to 20 hours, and battery indicators show how much charge is left before you set off.

Rain-ready. IPX4 water resistance handles rain, road spray and splashes on a daily commute.

Mount it almost anywhere. The strap fits most handlebars and seat posts, and also mounts on saddle bags, saddles and helmets. Runners and walkers can clip the lights to a jacket with the multi-use utility clip.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the battery last?

Up to 20 hours in Eco mode for both lights. Brighter modes run for less time. A full recharge takes 1.5 hours for the lights and 2 hours for the case. Battery indicators show remaining charge before you ride.

How does the charging case work?

Put both lights in the case and close it. Magnets line them up with the contacts and they start charging. The case itself charges by USB-C, so you can top the lights up in a bag or pocket without a cable.

Can I charge the lights without the case?

Yes. Each light has its own USB-C port, and a standard phone USB-C cable works.

Is Proton bright enough to light up a dark road?

Proton is built to make you seen, not to light up an unlit trail. Its steady modes run at 7–30 lumens, and its 300-lumen peak is the Daytime Running flash. That makes it ideal for city streets, dusk and daytime visibility. For fully dark country roads or trails, pair it with a dedicated high-output headlight.

Is it waterproof?

Proton is IPX4 water resistant. It handles rain, splashes and road spray, but don't submerge it.

How do I mount and remove the lights?

Fit the strap mount to your bike once. The light snaps onto it magnetically and locks. To remove it, twist it off. No tools are needed.

Why doesn't the case hold the straps?

Because the straps stay on your bike. Fit them once, and when you park, just twist off the lights and drop them in your pocket. Thieves take lights, not rubber straps, so the case is kept small enough to carry for the parts worth protecting.

Will it fit my bike?

The strap fits most handlebars and seat posts. It also mounts on saddle bags, saddles and helmets, and works on e-scooters with additional mounting accessories.

Can I use Proton for running or walking?

Yes. Use the multi-use utility clip to clip the white light to the front of a jacket or the red light to the back.

How is Proton different from a regular USB bike light?

Most USB bike lights need a cable and a wall socket to recharge. Proton's lights live in a pocket-size charging case, so they recharge between rides and are ready when you are. They also come off the bike in one twist, so they aren't left behind when you park.
