Eclipse Quick Zoom Headlamp
Eclipse is a headlamp that zooms from a wide flood to a narrow spot with a 45° turn of the lens ring. It runs on 3 AAA batteries, included, or on an optional USB-C rechargeable pack. Its red light wraps around the lens in a crescent: the ring that gives Eclipse its name.

Who it's for
Camping, hiking and night walks; outdoor and site work with a helmet; and emergency kits, where spare AAA batteries matter.
Why Eclipse
Quick Zoom: wide to spot in a 45° turn.
Turn the lens ring 45° to change the beam. Use the wide flood to light up camp or your work area, and the narrow spot to see further down the trail.
The red crescent light.
Eclipse is named after its red light: a curved band of red LEDs that wraps around the lower half of the main lens, like the ring of light around the moon in an eclipse. Many headlamps add a single small red LED beside the main light; on Eclipse, the red light is part of the design.
Because the band wraps around the side of the lamp, the red light can be seen from the side as well as from the front, so people beside you on a road or trail can see you too. Use it steady to keep your night vision at camp or when reading a map, without dazzling the people around you. Switch to flash to make yourself easier to see on a dark road or trail.
Hybrid power: AAA or rechargeable.
Eclipse comes with 3 AAA batteries, so it works out of the box. You can also fit an 1100 mAh rechargeable battery pack, sold separately, that charges by USB-C. Charge the pack at home, and carry AAA batteries as a backup on longer trips.
Five modes, lock mode and mode memory.
White high, mid and low, red steady and red flash. Lock mode stops the light from switching on by accident in your bag: hold the button for 5 seconds while the light is off. Mode memory turns it back on in the last mode you used.
90° pivot.
Tilt the lamp head up to 90° to aim the light where you need it.
IPX5 water resistant.
IPX5 means protected against water jets from any direction, so Eclipse handles rain and splashes. It is not made to be submerged.
Three ways to wear it.
On the headband; on a helmet, using the adhesive helmet mount pad in the box; or with the clip on a vest, backpack strap or pocket. The clip fits vertically or horizontally.

Questions and answers
Does it need charging before first use?
No. Eclipse comes with 3 AAA batteries, so it works straight out of the box.
Can I make it rechargeable?
Yes. Fit the 1100 mAh rechargeable battery pack (sold separately) in place of the AAA batteries and charge it with a USB-C cable. On the pack, all three models run longer on high and low, and the Eclipse600 and 450 are brighter. You can switch back to AAA batteries at any time.
Which model should I choose?
Eclipse600 is the brightest: 600 lumens on AAA batteries, 750 with the rechargeable pack. Eclipse300 runs the longest: up to 30 hours on low with AAA batteries, 54 hours with the pack. Eclipse450 sits in between. All three have the same zoom, red light and mounts.
How does the zoom work?
Turn the lens ring. A 45° turn takes the beam from a wide flood to a narrow spot.
Why is it called Eclipse?
The name comes from its red light: a curved band of red LEDs around the lens that looks like the ring of light in an eclipse.
Why does it have a red light?
Red light helps your eyes stay used to the dark and doesn't dazzle people around you, which is useful at camp or when reading a map. The flashing red mode helps others see you, from the front and from the side.
Will it switch on by accident in my bag?
Not if you turn on lock mode, which locks the button until you unlock it.
Is it waterproof?
Eclipse is IPX5: protected against water jets from any direction, so it is fine in heavy rain. Don't submerge it.
Can I put it on a helmet?
Yes. Stick the included helmet mount pad on your helmet and clip the light onto it.
Why does it get warm, and why does it dim on high?
Warmth is normal at high output. Built-in temperature monitoring lowers the brightness if the lamp gets too hot, to protect it.
