Lumixell Proton front and rear bike lights in their pocket-size charging case

Proton is a front and rear bike light set that recharges in a pocket-size case, like wireless earbuds. It is made for city commuters, e-scooter riders, and runners or walkers who want to be seen in traffic, at dusk and in daylight. For full specifications and answers to common questions, see the Proton product page.

Award-winning design

Proton won the iF Design Award 2025 in the Product discipline, Bicycles category, and the Taipei Cycle d&i Awards 2024 Gold.

Built to be seen

Each light has five modes. The Daytime Running flash peaks at 300 lumens on the front and 75 lumens on the rear, to catch drivers' attention from far away. The steady modes run at 7 to 30 lumens. Proton is a visibility light, not a trail headlight: for unlit roads or trails, pair it with a dedicated high-output front light.

Twist on, twist off

The self-locking magnetic mount snaps on and twists off in seconds, with no tools. The straps stay on the bike, so you take only the lights with you when you park. The multi-use utility clip attaches the lights to a saddle bag, or to a jacket for walking and running.

Charges in its case

Drop both lights into the case after a ride. Magnets line them up with the charging contacts and they start charging. The case holds one full recharge for both lights and refills by USB-C in about 2 hours. Each light can also charge directly by USB-C in about 1.5 hours. Eco mode runs up to 20 hours per charge.

Rain-ready

Proton is IPX4 water resistant. It handles rain, splashes and road spray, but should not be submerged.

What riders say

Riders on Amazon mention the magnets (“Magnets work great and twist to lock in”) and the case (“Like your earbud case”). See all reviews on Amazon.
